The implementation philosophy: start where the pain is
The biggest mistake in AI adoption is trying to transform everything at once. The second biggest mistake is starting a "proof of concept" that is disconnected from real work. Your implementation needs to be focused, operational, and tied to real pursuits from Day 1.
The 30/60/90 plan is structured around three principles:
First, deploy AI where your team spends the most time on low-value work. In govcon, that is opportunity research, competitive analysis, RFP shredding, and first-draft generation. These activities are necessary but do not require strategic judgment — they require processing large volumes of information and producing structured output. That is what AI does best.
Second, use real pursuits as your training ground. Every prompt you write, every workflow you build, and every lesson you learn should come from an actual opportunity in your pipeline. By the time you have completed the 90-day plan, you will have used AI on real captures and real proposals — producing real data on time savings and output quality.
Third, build the institutional asset as you go. Every opportunity brief, competitive analysis, capture plan, compliance matrix, and past performance narrative generated during the 90 days becomes part of your Capture Brain's knowledge base. The system gets more valuable with every pursuit.
