From this course to real results
You now understand how AI works, where it fits in real estate workflows, and how to build the business case. This final module gives you the concrete plan to make it happen.
What is your firm's biggest obstacle to starting?
Days 1-30 — Foundation
Week 1: Choose and set up
- Select an enterprise AI tool (Claude for Business, ChatGPT Enterprise, or Microsoft Copilot)
- Set up accounts for your pilot team (3-5 people)
- Draft a one-page data policy: tenant PII stays out, lease terms and property data are fine
- Get compliance/legal sign-off on the policy
Week 2: Baseline measurement
- Pick 10 representative leases from your portfolio
- Time how long each takes to abstract manually
- Record the average (this is your "before" number)
Week 3-4: Pilot launch
- Train the pilot team (use the prompt templates from Module 3 of this course)
- Process the same 10 lease types with AI assistance
- Record the "after" time
- Daily check-ins the first week, then weekly
Days 31-60 — Expand
Week 5-6: Measure and refine
- Compile pilot results: time saved, errors caught, team feedback
- Refine prompt templates based on what worked
- Identify which lease types AI handles best vs which need more human review
Week 7-8: Present and expand
- Present results to leadership with before/after numbers
- Propose expanding to additional workflows:
- Property condition report review
- Market comp research
- Tenant communications drafting
- Onboard 2-3 additional teams using the pilot team as mentors
Days 61-90 — Scale
Week 9-10: Build the system
- Create a shared prompt library for your firm's top 10 document types
- Set up a shared AI workspace with your portfolio's key documents
- Establish a review process for AI-generated work product
Week 11-12: Institutionalise
- Include AI tools in new hire onboarding
- Set up monitoring: track time savings per team per month
- Plan the next phase: MCP integration with your property management software, automated lease date monitoring, portfolio reporting
What success looks like at day 90:
- 3-5 teams using AI on defined workflows
- Measurable time savings (typically 40-60% on document processing)
- A prompt library that makes AI useful for any team member from day one
- Leadership support for continued investment
Course summary
Across 8 modules, you've built a complete understanding of AI for real estate:
- Why AI matters — the document burden, the competitive landscape, the opportunity
- AI fundamentals — how it works, what it's good at, what to verify
- Lease management — abstraction, comparison, deadline monitoring
- Property valuation — appraisal review, comp analysis, market research
- Tenant operations — screening, communications, maintenance triage
- Deal analysis — CIM review, environmental reports, deal memo drafting
- Business case — ROI calculations specific to your firm
- Implementation plan — a concrete 30/60/90 day roadmap
The firms that act on this in the next 90 days will have a meaningful advantage over those that wait. The tools are ready. The question is whether your firm is.
